Between You And The View
‘Between You And The View’ is related to the dream like experiences of the perception of reality, and how photography creates a perceived memory of time and place. Yet the stored memory has no lasting value, because memories are not static or real. Is there something vastly deeper that can arise between you the camera and the object perceived? Yes. A clarity and a feeling of being relaxed to observe and take it all in. These experiences are like a river of impressions passing along to the depths of the ocean. Pointing to the observer is sharing the richness of what is there – inside and out, it is ultimately freeing because the experience is endless! My daughter and her friends are often the my subject because they demonstrate an open presence at their young age. They are mostly in the moment with not a lot of concepts built up yet, they share being in the present moment easily!
